What it's like

Sahl Hasheesh bay is about 18 km south of Hurghada airport and has islands and coral reefs for snorkelling and diving; the mapped Abu Hashish reef lies a few kilometres offshore. Abou Hasheesh island nearby is described as a local protectorate. Boat trips from Hurghada Marina usually go to Giftun instead, and no boat time to these reefs was found.
